Photographer Chia Chong
grew up in Penang, Malaysia. Chong earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in photography in 1998 from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her broad range of photography encompasses portraiture, fashion, lifestyle and interior design, fine art and travel. Chong's work has been published in several leading international lifestyle and shelter magazines, including Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Elle Décor, Women's Wear Daily, Lucky, Score, HomeStyle, Southern Living, Atlanta Magazine, Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles, The New York Times, The Miami Herald and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Chong's work also appeared in numerous books, including Picture Perfect, Making Our Mark, and Small Gardens of Savannah and Thereabouts. Her interiors photography may also be seen in the 2006 Clarkson Potter release, A House in the South. In 2006, design-driven home furnishings retailer west elm included a collection of Chong's photographs in its fall home décor collection. Chong has participated in numerous exhibitions in Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia, as well as in Paris, France.
